Hello to all my valued clients and partnerss, my name is Jim Chen.

I had my first part-time cleaning job in Wellington when I was a Year 12 high school student in 2008. After completing my Business and Management degrees in 2012, I continued working part-time in cleaning while managing my studies. During this period, I secured a full-time role as a coffee shop manager and, alongside a business partner, invested in a commercial cleaning franchise. From 2012 to 2014, I worked tirelessly after business hours, balancing both jobs.

In 2014, I moved to Christchurch from Wellington with only $500 in my pocket, just after purchasing an engagement ring for my wife and welcoming our first baby daughter. It was a challenging start, but it also marked the beginning of something incredible.

In July 2015, I founded TRIPLE STAR COMMERCIAL CLEANING. With a firm belief in the demand for high-quality cleaning services in Christchurch, I started with nothing more than a small Toyota Vitz car and a vision for excellence.

Fast forward to 2024, Triple Star now operates with 8 company vehicles and employs over 20 professional cleaners. One of our proudest milestones was securing a large-scale cleaning contract with a well-known corporate office in Christchurch. It was a turning point that not only validated our dedication to quality service but also solidified our reputation as a trusted name in commercial cleaning. Moments like these remind me of how far we’ve come from starting with just a single car and a dream. What started as a one-man operation has transformed into a thriving business, and we’re still growing rapidly. In July 2024, we proudly expanded into Auckland with the launch of “Triple Star Commercial Cleaning Auckland.”

The Triple Star logo features three stars, symbolizing our core values: “Trust,” “Quality,” and “Service.” These values are reflected in every aspect of our daily operations—from our team’s commitment to open and honest communication with clients, to our relentless focus on delivering spotless, high-quality results, and our dedication to going above and beyond to meet client expectations. Every interaction, every task, and every project embodies these principles, ensuring we build lasting relationships based on reliability and excellence.

But Triple Star is not just about business success—it’s about people. I take pride in building not only strong relationships with clients but also a supportive environment for my team. Many of our team members are individuals nearing retirement who once believed they could no longer contribute professionally. Yet, they consistently deliver exceptional results, exceeding both my expectations and those of our clients.

These dedicated individuals are the heart and soul of Triple Star. One of our senior team members, Mrs Wu once shared, “Working at Triple Star gave me a sense of purpose after retirement. I never thought I could contribute so much again, but every day, I feel valued and appreciated here.” Stories like Mrs Wu remind me why our team is truly the backbone of this company. Their commitment, passion, and hard work are what keep this company thriving. They are not just employees—they are family.
